LIFE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The stress directly related to the financial burden placed upon a patient battling cancer can be life-threatening. Every effort must be made to alleviate this burden. The Life Assistance Program will provide grants to help men and women with direct medical costs and also non-medical specific costs as listed below:

• Rent/Mortgage payments
• Travel to/from treatment
• Childcare
• Housekeeping
• Home-Care
• Treatment-related consumer products, i.e. wigs, prosthetics, etc.

Maiden Flight has partnered with the healthcare community in order to reach parents and children most in need. Oncologists and social workers are the key figures in matching patient needs and will assist in determining participants' eligibility.

HEART-TO-HEART SUPPORT PROGRAM

Maiden Flight's Heart-To-Heart Program is designed to assist the single
parent who is in hospice care due to a diagnosis of cancer. As a single parent the challenges can be insurmountable and the thoughts of your child's future are in the forefront of your mind. 

Working in conjunction with the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care, Maiden Flight will be able to reach those with the greatest need.  IAHPC supports programs, projects and individuals around the world, especially in developing countries in Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia and Latin America. Through our unified efforts IAHPC will identify the patients in need and from there, with the help of our donors, we can help patients actively participate in their child's financial future.

MAIDEN FLIGHT "WEEKEND AWAY PASS / MOMMY OR DADDY AND ME PASS"

For singles, "The Weekend Away Pass" and for single parents "The Mommy/Daddy and Me Pass" will be a time to step away from the day to day doctor visits, needles, x-rays, chemotherapy, poking and prodding. With the approval of their doctor, within one year of becoming a Maiden Flight member, our single members will be carried away to a spa resort to be pampered for the weekend. And our single parents with their children will enjoy a weekend of sheer fun and relaxation. These passes, even if only for a moment, will be a time of peace and solitude, a time to build lasting memories and a time to renew and recharge their heart, mind and soul.

ALL PROGRAMS WITHIN MAIDEN FLIGHT ARE OPEN TO ITS PARTICIPANTS

For admission into Maiden Flight clients must be:

• Recently diagnosed with cancer (within 1 year)
• Single woman or man, head of household
• Currently undergoing cancer treatment and physically unable to work
• Submit a completed application and any requested documents, including financial information, in support of of their application to join Maiden Flight
